How Can You Connect With Other Funders?

FCAA seeks to build a movement and community in AIDS philanthropy, and so, we prioritize programming and events that bring grantmakers together – both online and in-person – to build trust and relationships necessary to forge new partnerships to address HIV/AIDS in a collaborative and strategic manner.

Are You a Grantmaker?

  1. Sign up for our funder-only networking intranet site FCAA Connect where you will have access to colleagues from more than 1,500 organizations.
  2. Stay connected to FCAA. Visit the links under “Related Resources” to sign up for our e-news, RSS feeds and to follow us on Twitter & Facebook. These new tools will keep you updated on the latest news and events from FCAA and our community members.
  3. Tell us what you’re doing. By keeping us informed of your grantmaking priorities, interests and activities, we’ll know better how to connect you with similar organizations and colleagues. This new website also provides new tools to highlight and share your work with the community, which may also inspire the attention and future partnership of your colleagues. Keep us updated: info@fcaaids.org.
  4. Support FCAA as a member organization. As members of FCAA, you have the opportunity to meet and learn from your peers, as well as to receive recognition as a leader in HIV/AIDS grantmaking. FCAA believes that informing and connecting you with your colleagues will lead to more effective and responsive grantmaking, and thus, an improvement in the field overall. 5. Utilize our services! FCAA offers advisory support and technical assistance to our members.

Are You a Nonprofit?

  1. Stay connected to FCAA. Visit the links under “Related Resources” to sign up for our e-news, RSS feeds and to follow us on Twitter & Facebook. These new tools will keep you updated on the latest news and events from FCAA and our community members.
  2. Be an FCAA Ambassador. Share our resources and news with your Board members or any of your supporting/funding organizations and encourage them to participate and support FCAA. Questions? Contact Sarah Hamilton at sarah@fcaaids.org.
  3. Get to know the field of AIDS philanthropy. Our annual resource tracking publications include the latest information on private philanthropic support: how much, who is funding, where the money is going. Use this information to get to know these funders working in your geographic location, or to your program priorities and needs. Learn more at: Our Work > Resource Tracking.
  4. While AIDS non-profits/NGOs are not a primary part of FCAA’s constituency, FCAA also provides basic education on responsible and responsive grantseeking to such groups. As a component of FCAA’s limited technical assistance service to AIDS organizations, FCAA distributes an AIDS-Related Organization Packet, which provides vital information about HIV/AIDS funding to grantseekers. To request a hard copy of this packet, please email FCAA and provide your mailing address.
Please note, FCAA is not a grantmaking organization nor does it help NGOs strategize, research, or write specific proposals. FCAA also does not direct NGOs to specific AIDS funders.
