Opportunities for Funders at UNAIDS
UNAIDS recently informed FCAA of several opportunities for funder involvement on current projects.
- First, funders are invited to join a field visit to Johannesburg, South Africa (20 to 22 April) focused on technical support for a sustainable AIDS response. If you are interested, please confirm with Dorcas Mapondera BY Friday 26 March 2010. Read more about the trip.
- In the wake of earthquake crisis in Haiti - the country most affected by
HIV in the Caribbean - UNAIDS has called for a coordinated approach to
support the country as it rebuilds its AIDS response. UNAIDS is also
“currently working with its partners to integrate HIV into the
Post-Disaster Needs Assessment process and ensure the HIV-related needs
identified will be part of the ongoing humanitarian assistance efforts
